Choosing to See: Racial Healing is Possible, by Hanna du Plessis
Hanna was invited to participate in the annual Woordfees arts festival in South Africa. She wrote seven short personal essays describing moments in her journey toward racial healing. Read by Erica Wessels (who voiced the audiobook of "Bedsores and Bliss) and illustrated by Marc Rettig, the result is a 35-minute film of deep beauty and reflection. Group viewing on Zoom: Saturday November 15, 1:00pm US Eastern, 8:00pm South Africa. See the flyer in this post for the Zoom link.
